The usage for Eb4(religious worker)+Eb5(investment) for 2008 was 3699.
These two categories are undersubscribed so the real spill over impact is closer to 3699. (which might bump up Eb2 india by 1 month more than otherwise.)

I am planning for my visa in Jan at Mumbai consulate. I do not have any relatives in either mumbai/pune who can submit my documents 3 days before the appointment.
Has anyone faced this issue? I have sent them an email asking if I can mail the documents to them. Lets see what they reply. Does anyone has experience what to do in situation like this?

You can mail your's. make sure its registered /fed ex receipt and send them a followup email to check if they received it.

I plan to transfer the priority date of an old LC to a new one. My attorney said my case won't work, since the two LCs belong to the same company and the positions (job titles) are the same. She indicates at least one of them needs be different.
I spent a whole night and cannot find any info about this.
Do you happen to know this? Any comments or links would be appreciated.

I sent a letter to Rep Zoe Lofgren on July 4 after she sent a letter to Chertoff and Rice on our behalf. Below is what I wrote:

Let me begin by Thanking you immensely for standing up for the cause of legal immigrants. Your response to the July Visa Bulletin fiasco made me very pleased and re-instilled the hope in me that I had lost as a result of the recent announcements by USCIS to stop accepting Adjustment of Status applications.
It is indeed appalling that the various problems faced by highly skilled legal immigrants get lost in the cracks of the system and do not get any media coverage.
I have been in the U.S for approximately 9 years now. I graduated with a Masters in Engineering from a highly ranked school here, always played by the rules and still am stuck in the backlog delays and the bureaucracies of the immigration process.
The July visa bulletin released on June 13th a gave me and others a ray of hope which was crushed after USCIS stopped accepting applications on July 2nd. I have spend huge amount time, effort and attorney's fees preparing all the paperwork and submitting it to USCIS on July 2nd.
Again I want you to know how much me and other skilled workers in the same situation as me, appreciate your taking up this issue with Dept of State and USCIS. Thank you so much for your help in this critical hour. Please help us in resolving this issue and also discuss this with your colleagues in congress so they may also take up this issue with the Federal government agencies.

Your signature says I 140 was approved, when was it approved and does that mean the USCIS website never updated the status of your I 140?
or was it showing I140 approved before and now it's showing pending?

i dont see any of the above said...:o..how lond does it take for us to receive rn in hand after the checks are cashed...I am starting to worry now.If everybody can see the rn why icant i!:o...The uscis cs is not telling the status...Is there a possiblity of appl rejection even after the checks are cleared.:confused::confused:

I don't know why guys are so anxious about the reciept number. When they get the reciept number mail, they are going ot have all the details. Unnecessary anxious. US born citizens cannot deported. But naturalized citizen can be deported, if he obtained immigration (GC) by frudalent means (false documents, sham marriage, by cheating.. etc).
Citizens of US cannot be deported. That is the LAW... But if that guy had a Green Card or any other visa, then he can be deported...

How to know if name check has been done. Is there a number to call to confirm NC clearance?.
We had FP on 9/19 and saw LUD on 9/20. Called FBI yesterday and they say they sent results to uscis. Does it mean FP and NC clearance? Or NC is a separate entity. Please, let me know

thats what scared me when i read this thread... so, basically, they are using even the pending 485s to raise issues on 140 etc... this i bad stuff.

1) You can stay home even without any job, when you have EAD.
2) Alternatively, work for this SAP if they could provide a job description similar to your past when an RFE comes your way.

So, per the memorandum, you MAY be in trouble ONLY if the adjudicating officer decides something is fishy. And the officer is to treat the I-140 and supporting docs (based on which your I-140 was already approved) as prima facie evidence of intent. So why are you worried? Has your I-140 been withdrawn by old employer?
